Transitioning from Preschool to Kindergarten

I can't imagine how my families feel at this time of year.  It seems as though we were just getting started in preschool, and now it's time to have the big discussion about Kindergarten. 

Have you heard:  Kindergarten is the new 1st Grade!  The pressure, the expectations, and now the new Common Core State Standards!  


Kindergarten in public school does not include the nap time I experienced.  I clearly remember getting star stickers on my forehead for pretending to be asleep on the cot.  So what does Kindergarten look like today?  Especially when your child has special needs!  

Tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 29th, I am hosting a "Transition to Kindergarten" workshop.  (More information to come).  Come out and meet parents who have paved the way and can share their Kindergarten experience!
